What is the Pusher?
The Pusher is designed to help little ones develop the motor skills they need to operate a knife fork and spoon. Working with Constructive Eating’s patented ramp, the pusher makes great practice for moving food from plate to utensil.
What is the best age for your utensils and plates?
The most common age range for Constructive Eating is 6 months to 5 years. However, each person develops differently and can be used as early as deemed safe by the parent or guardian. Constructive Eating has also been useful for those with feeding disorders, arthritis, or bored eaters.
Constructive Eating utensils are used every day by the grown-ups who work at headquarters in Ann Arbor.
How can I clean your utensils and plates?
All of our utensils and plates are dishwasher safe.
Are your plates microwave safe?
Yes! Our plates have been tested for microwave safety by an unaffiliated, accredited, third-pary lab.
Where are your products made?
Constructive Eating utensils, plates, and placemats are all proudly made in the USA. Everything is designed by the original founder in Ann Arbor, manufactured in Illinois, and packaged by local students.
Are your products safe?
Constructive Eating was designed for the founder’s own children and therefore held to the highest safety standard. Our products are fully tested against the requirements of the CPSIA, ASTM, FDA, and EN71.
Do you use any paints in your products?
Constructive Eating is paint-free. Our utensils and plates are constructed out of two safe plastics that bond to one another.
Do your products contain BPA?
Constructive Eating products do not contain any BPA (Bisphenol A).
Do your products contain any lead?
Constructive Eating products do not contain any lead. Our products were tested against the presence of lead as part of the battery of tests performed by our third-party laboratory for the CPSIA and EN71.
Do your products contain any phthalates?
Our products do not contain any phthalates. Our products were tested against the presence of six key phthalates (DEHP, DBP, BBP, DIDP, DNOP, and DINP) as part of the battery of tests performed by our third-party laboratory for the CPSIA and EN71.
Do your products contain any PVC?
Our products do not contain any PVC.
